We had such an amazing Labor Day. We just hung out on the beach all day while the kids played and sweet Ellie even took a nap. Our smart edge outdoor blanket and toddler lounge from Lulyboo definitely made our day easier.
All my little water babies snuggled up eating snacks together was just what we needed.
Of course the easy clean up and storage options make my mama heart happy. The blanket rolls right up with a carrying handle and the lounge buckles into a backpack! Score! I’d say it was a successful day. Check out Lulyboo on IG HERE.

Nothing makes me swoon more than little accessories. Everything is just cuter in miniature size. I have become obsessed with boot socks this fall. They are so adorable and add a little touch to any outfit. So when I saw baby boot socks, you bet i had to have them. Perfect for the fall days when they weather is getting chilly, all the way into winter with some cute Uggs or duck boots. We are still in the in-between seasons here. Somedays it is warms and your dying because your heat was on and other days your have 3 layers on. Today I am going to share with you some cute outfit inspirations for you baby sock boots, worn by Bentleigh and Hurleigh!
Beanie // H&M (similar) Top // Old Navy (available in stores) Leggings // Old Navy (girls section) Tied Sweater // Passive Juice Motel (similar) Socks // Old Navy Boots // Uggs (soft sole)
Hat // Gap Glasses // IG @fjs_popshop Top // Carter’s Tied Sweater // Similar Leggings // Old Navy (similar or sold in stores) Socks // Old Navy Moccs // Freshly Picked “Weathered Brown”
They can be paired with so many different styles of shoes. Today with went with Uggs and Moccasins, but we will definitely be mixing it up here soon!
A staple piece in our fall/winter wardrobe is definitely beanies! I love the look of slouchy beanies on the boys. They go with so many outfits and with fall and the cool weather upon us, comfy outfits are a must. Throw on some sweats and a pullover with a slouchy beanie and you are set to go. Bentleigh is at the stage where he is very, very opinionated on everything, including his hair. He has decided he wants to grow his hair out to be big like Hurleigh’s but not as long. So, here we are. We are at a totally awkward stage right now for his hair and it is so thick and just not made to be long, but what Bentleigh wants, Bentleigh will get. It is nice to have a beanie to just throw on when he refuses to let me do his hair. And of course we all know that Hurleigh’s hair is just wild and unruly all the time. Seeing his little curls pop out of the sides of a beanie is one of the best things ever.
I love small companies. Even more, I love small companies from Utah. When I came across Slouch Headwear I knew they were a company for me. Carl and Emily, the founders of Slouch Headwear, started the company after searching for stylish and affordable beanies for their son. When they could not find exactly what they were looking for, they decided the best route would be to make them. From that was born Slouch Headwear. Every fabric is hand picked by them and made right here is Utah, to ensure the highest quality possible. They are super comfortable, which makes them perfect for every season of the year.
They are amazingly well made. I love the fit and they have the perfect amount of “slouch” to them. They are such a sweet, loving company, and you will be welcomed with open arms. Check out all their amazing prints over on their Instagram and Twitter, @slouchheadwear, and make sure to follow them to stay up to date on any sale, promotions, and new products they may be offering!
My two favorites are the “Pea Green” and “Leopard” slouch beanies. They are always releasing new colors and their prices are perfect for every mama out there! Hurry and check out Slouch Headwear now and snag your little some of the most stylish beanies available!
The end of summer came and we are slowly moving into fall. This is my absolute favorite time of the year. I love the layers and every fall essential that comes with dressing the boys. This amazing romper from Rags to Raches is perfect for fall layering. It is so soft and breathable. Very roomy and comfortable for all those little wild children that love to run around. Hurleigh has been obsessed with these Hunter boots since the moment he got them. He would wear them every day if I let him, cue buying my colors for fall. And everything flannel, well I’m from Minnesota and flannel has its own spot on the color wheel up there lol. It can still be pretty warm here during the day, but mornings and nights are pretty cool. Tie a sweater or button up around your little ones waist to have it on hand whenever they get a little chilly. Make sure to check out Rags to Raches for more amazing items too, they have some of the best rompers coming out that I have been waiting for very impatiently lol.
That chocolate milk face gets me every time! Say hello to grumpy cat! (:
I am mildly obsessed with taking photos. I love capturing moments that we will be able to look back on for years and years to come. Not only is it a great way to share memories with families, but also for when your children get older and they can look back at the moments you shared with them. Most, and really most mean probably all, of my photos end up on Instagram. Over a year of memories taken and no way to have them forever. Far to often, we are seeing innocent accounts of mothers being taken down by Instagram because someone is offended by nursing pictures or just their account in general. Once their account is taken down they have to beg and plead just to get their accounts back or have all those memories lost forever. The thought of losing every picture and caption and not being able to ever see them again, frankly is scary. So what is a mom to do?
Chatbooks to the rescue! For just $6 you can create a 60 color page book of your memories from Instagram! As you can see, they come in volumes. I started with 4 books, I think I had 22 volumes that could be printed! The quality is pretty great and the boys love looking over all the pictures. You can exclude photos you do not want in your book and even custom cover photos. These books are something we will be able to look back at and remember what we did on a specific day, to see all the fun we had, and reminisce over every precious memory that is not a guarantee for tomorrow. It is as simple as downloading the app in the app store, for free, and following the instructions. I also love supporting businesses in Utah! I can not wait to add more volumes to our collection. Thank you chapbook for having such an awesome product!
I officially have a two year old. Yesterday, July 10th, we celebrated Hurleigh’s amazing two years of life with a few close family and friends. I have to say, these last two years have been so amazing to watch him grow and mold our family into what it is today.
Back two years ago when I was about to have him, still so terrified to be having another boy, I could not have imagined the relationship him and Bentleigh would form and the love we would all share. He brings the perfect balance to our family. He is the sour to our sweet. I always say he is our little piece of chaos, because he is so fearless and always jumps head first into anything he is doing, sometimes literally. Now he is such an amazing little boy we could not have asked for anyone better to add to our family. He is such a strong spirit. He knows what he likes and especially what he dislikes, and while he does not talk much he lets you know. He loves animals of all shapes and sizes and I know he is going to do great things in his life. And yes the numbers do not lie, he is that tiny lol.
He decided to ring in his birthday in true Hurleigh fashion. You never know what he is going to give you day to day. Yesterday was not his favorite day that is for sure. It was his birthday and he cried if he wanted to lol. He finally enjoyed his day at dinner when he got to spend some time with a few of his favorite people. Then we spent the rest of the night playing with new toys. When he crawled into my bed this morning and he was doing his little stretches, still the cutest thing ever, I realized how lucky of a mom I am. I truly hit the jackpot. He has taught me that I can not expect rainbows and sunshine every day, but every moment is a gift. That even the littlest ones can have bad days too. I can not imagine any other life for us, the bad days and all. I always said that I only wanted two children, but Hurleigh turned that into a reality. We can not wait to see what the years hold for you little boy!
I just wanted to wish each and every reader a happy and safe 4th of July! It is a time to remember the birth of our beautiful country and all that it is! I hope that you and your families have fun no matter what your plans are! We had a great time at the parade this morning with some amazing friends and are shortly about to venture into our first camping adventure as a family. Wish me luck (; lol
